Product Overview
ReprintControl as a service within mailFactory Manager Sphera provides the complete distribution of the production at multiple sites, independent of vendors. The entire production workflow can be conducted manually or automatically with the corresponding business rules. The management system receives the initial production jobs and saves them on mail piece level. After a production run the application generates the reprint data and therewith controls the data flow until the job is completely processed (closed loop). The production jobs can be decentralized and sent to vendor independent inserter environments. The service offers various interfaces to different preparation and inserter systems.
As an optional feature, MailpieceSearch is used to find and display already distributed mail pieces and shows their historical processing information.

Workflow ReprintControl
Job data is sent in a predefined format by a preparation system and then imported by the mailFactory Reprint Control service. The import interface works preferably with XML-format which can contain customer defined attributes. All the data is stored on a mail piece level inside the database. Now business rules define the assignment of the jobs to the appropriate inserter environment. After the production run, the updated control file is sent back to mailFactory ReprintControl. With this step the processing results in the database are reconciled and the system expects new paper for the reprint run only.
In the meantime the new reprint file is generated and sent to the defined inserter environment, according to the business rules. These steps are repeated until all the mail pieces are processed correctly. The processed production information is archived for future tracking by a quality responsible member. The ReprintControl service additionally offers the opportunity to supervise mixed reprints logically. This solution provides the possibility to print several reprint runs on the same paper roll or stack, to prevent big losses with job changeovers.
