🌹From Binary code 0101 to the 90th Birthday Celebration "Lom Huan (The Return Wind) - A Truly Memorable Masterpiece 🌹
Reminiscing the Good Old Days: Faculty & Alumni Reunion In the Serene Ambience of Chan Phen Restaurant (Rama 4) with the Timeless Melody of "Lom Huan" (Returning Wind) 🌹✨
. [Bangkok] On June 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:45 PM, a heartwarming and deeply memorable reunion took place at the K-1 banquet room of Chan Phen Restaurant on Rama 4 Road. Dr. Vivat Mungkarndee graciously hosted a delightful dinner for his beloved alumni from the Nondhaburi Institute of Telecommunication (NIT) and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), spanning Generations 1 to 6.
. The event brought together esteemed alumni, including:
Gen 3: Mr. Theerapong Thamathivath
Gen 4: Mr. Chayan Pholpoke (along with Madame Phitinan and their karaoke music team), Mr. Alongkorn Boonsuwan, Mr. Chalong Buanamjued, Mr. Chaiyo Ratanaprasit
Gen 5: Mr. Polchai Thongsawan
Gen 6: Mr. Surapong Buakan (who brought a fine vintage Robert Mondavi wine to celebrate), Mr. Kitti Jaiwat (Master of Ceremonies), Mr. Sakolthorn Kanjanaphisan, Mr. Suwat Ratpibooldej, Mr. Thawatchai Kongsangchai, Mr. Phinit Phatphiboolchai, Mr. Suvatn Srisanan, Mr. Manit Sukchayi, Mr. Chanchai Sitabutr, and many others.
. 🤍 Words of Wisdom and Care
As always, Dr. ViVat delivered an inspiring and heartwarming speech, offering life guidance with profound love and care. This year, he emphasized "the art of proper social conduct"—knowing one’s place, being neither overly proud nor overly timid, and practicing genuine humility as a core anchor for both life and career.
. 💦 A Ceremony of Gratitude and Blessings
A deeply moving highlight was the traditional water-pouring ceremony to pay respect to the beloved professor. Led by Mr. Theerapong Thamathivath, who read an appreciative tribute to Dr. Vivat, alumni from each generation took turns paying their respects individually, receiving heartfelt blessings, and capturing beautiful moments together.
. 🎤 A Night of Music and Fond Memories
The joy escalated as Mr. Chayan Pholpoke, his wife, and team set up a wonderful karaoke system and presented a nostalgic slide show of photos from their university days at NIT and KMITL. Dr. Vivat then joyfully led the crowd in singing more than 20 classic Thai and international retro hits, including Your Cheatin’ Heart, Seven Lonely Days, Chotto Matte Kudasai, Sawan Pid, Rak Khun Kao Laeo, Kiatthiyot Navy, Khong Jit, Alai Rak, Nang Jai, Khruan, Sut Thi Rak, Jong Rak, Roi Tai Prae, Phoer, Dao, Rak Aei, and Koolap Nai Mue Ther.
. 🎵 "Lom Huan" — The Anthem of the Night
The most mesmerizing moment belonged to the song "Lom Huan" (composed by Khunying Puangroi Apaiwongse). Upon finishing the song, Dr. Vivat shared a precious personal backstory: his mother (at their Sukhumvit residence) was a close friend of Khunying Puangroi during the time this immortal, exquisite masterpiece was composed. Today, we feature this timeless melody to accompany our Reels, capturing this beautiful milestone to be cherished forever.
.
The gathering concluded at 10:45 PM, leaving everyone with priceless memories and an unbreakable bond. All alumni express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Vivat for such a magnificent and unforgettable evening. 🙏❤️
